Tahini Salted Caramel

An easy no bake slice with some of our favourite ingredients


1 cup tahini

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup melted, cooled coconut oil

1 vanilla bean, scraped

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional but delightful)

1/4 teaspoon Himalayan salt


Line a loaf tin with baking paper.

In a medium bowl, combine tahini, maple syrup, coconut oil, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.

Add the walnuts (save some for topping if desired). Pour the mixture into the loaf tin and pop it in the freezer for 5 minutes.

Retrieve from the freezer, sprinkle with salt and reserved walnuts, then return to the freezer for 30 minutes.

Afterward, cut into 24 squares. These slices are best enjoyed straight from the freezer!
