This simple, yet flavourful tomato sauce comes together quickly and tastes delicious over pasta, pizza, zucchini noodles, in soups and stews and more! Lasts for a week in the fridge or freezes well for a few months.

3-4 Tablespoons Seedy Sister Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Available for online orders)
½ Onion – finely diced (Or 1 Tbsp Seedy Sister Organic Onion Powder)
2-4 Cloves Garlic – Minced (Or 1.5 Tbsp Seedy Sister Organic Garlic Powder)
¼ - 1/2 Tsp Seedy Sister Organic Chili Flakes (Optional)
1 Tbsp Seedy Sister Organic Italian Herb Blend
1 Jar Tomato Passata Sauce
Seedy Sister Gluten Free Spaghetti – enough for 4 people.
Salt and Pepper to taste.
Nutritional Yeast to serve
In a large pan, heat oil over a medium heat.
Add onion and sauté for 5-7 minutes or until translucent.
Add garlic, red chilli flakes and a pinch of salt and pepper.
*If using garlic powder and onion powder, add together with Italian herbs and chilli flakes in the beginning and sauté for around 1 minute, stirring to stop burning.
Add the jar of tomato passata and stir to combine.
Reduce heat to a simmer and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Season to taste.
Cook the gluten free spaghetti and transfer to the sauce, stir to coat the pasta and serve immediately. Top with chopped herbs and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast flakes.
